John Wayne: "Talk low, talk slow and don't say too much."
So we've been a little busy with birthdays, anniversaries, and trips and what not, so this weekend we're just relaxing at home. We're still watching our Best Picture Oscar winning movies, this week we watched Kramer vs. Kramer (1979) which was another kinda slow movie, though I guess I get why it won an Oscar. It's very typically that a single mother is portrayed raising her kid when dad leaves so this was probably a little gritty for it's time. Next up we watched Ordinary People (1980) which was really just an ordinary movie. It was cool to see some of the cast so young, as they have been in a lot of things when they were older and they are generally good in their roles.
We have some mowing and some eBay selling to do tomorrow but other than that, we're keeping it simple this weekend and trying to slow it down a bit before we get ramped back up for another busy few weeks!
