Ralph Waldo Emerson: "Men are what their mothers made them."
It's been another busy week but we managed to get in a few of our Best Picture Oscar winning movies, we watched Rainman (1988) which if you haven't seen it at least once, I don't know what planet you came from. Dustin Hoffman is awesome in this movie and it's interesting that a movie was made about a man with autism back before everyone and their mother had autism. Then, when we watched Driving Miss Daisy (1989), another great movie! Morgan Freeman is great in this (as I tend to think he is in everything he does) and the chemistry between him and Jessica Tandy is inspiring.
Anyway, I know it's Saturday and we're not in Winslow again but we had to celebrate my mom's 66th birthday. Here we are out at Logan's Roadhouse, my mom's first time eating there. She thought we were all rude for throwing peanut shells on the floor but she enjoyed herself anyway! Happy Birthday Mom!!!
Oh, and a birthday isn't a birthday without presents!!!
After all is settled down for the night, we're going to watch our next movie, Dances With Wolves (1990), another awesome movie though it is a bit long. Great movie that everyone should see at least once!
Another happy weekend to all and to all a goodnight!
