May 23rd, 2014

Andre Maurois , "Without a family, man, alone in the world, trembles with the cold."

So Sunday is my mom's 65th birthday and we've invited her out for the weekend!

We wanted to do some fun things that she used to do back in the day, but when we get older we don't always make time for.  We thought of miniature golf, but it's suppose to be pretty warm this weekend so we're opting for indoor and air conditioned activities.

We're going to meet her for lunch tomorrow and then not tell her what we're doing.....  It should be fun!

......After lunch, we went bowling...........

Look at mom go, she's on fire!!

Mom had a great time and so did the rest of us!!

Then we headed home for cake......

And of course presents!!!

To finish it off, we taught mom how to make homemade pasta!

Yummy!!! We did a cheese, basil, and pepperoni ravioli. I and it was great, the cheese cooked off a little more than we intended so next time we probably need to bulk it up with something else!  We added a side of fresh green beans with a little olive oil and garlic.

Happy birthday Mom, we hope you enjoyed your birthday as much as we enjoyed sharing it with you!

Mothers are so important, remember to pamper yours from time to time!
